Season Pass Contents for Star Wars Outlaws

If you buy the Season Pass individually or the Gold or Ultimate Edition of Star Wars Outlaws, you’ll be able to access some fantastic extra content, such as:

Two narrative extensions that add additional characters, objectives, missions, and other elements to the Star Wars Outlaws world beyond its initial release

exclusive access to the Jabba Gambit quest at launch, in which Kay has to help Jabba the Hutt by performing a task to free her new friend, the slick droid ND-5, from the metaphorical (and maybe actual) hook.

Access to the Kessel Runner Character Pack, which gives Kay and Nix a selection of character styles with a feeling reminiscent of Han Solo.

Players take on the role of Kay Vess, a downtrodden criminal trying to pull off the one major robbery that would provide her the peaceful life she has long craved, thanks to the narrative, which powers Star Wars Outlaws’ galactic escapades. The story, which takes place in between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, follows Kay and her loyal friend Nix as they blast, outwit, and rob their way across the galaxy, switching allegiances between criminal syndicates while evading the all-seeing Galactic Empire and seeking both freedom and fortune in equal measure.

Star Wars Outlaws is, to put it mildly, in good hands coming from Massive Entertainment, a company that solidified its Disney open-world credentials with 2023’s fantastic Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. In general, Star Wars Outlaws may be divided into two distinct sections: space travel with a healthy dose of interstellar dogfighting thrown in, and third-person planetside exploration.

To begin with the latter, there’s a good deal of territory for would-be criminals to explore inside the Star Wars world. This means that in her quest for the one huge payout that would make her (and Nix) for eternity, Kay will utilize her Trailblazer spaceship to go to a variety of locations, including the dazzling skylines of Coruscant and the many sandy dunes and markets of Tatooine. Of course, space fighting is an inevitable element of Kay’s job description when it comes to discovering all the galaxy has to offer, as she is hardly the only villain out there searching for an excessive share of the action. This is especially true when it comes to other criminal syndicates and the Galactic Empire itself.

As she battles anything from cheap fighters to elite Imperial Tie-Fighters, Kay may use a variety of laser guns, missiles, and other weapons—which she can improve during the game—to cripple or completely destroy her adversaries. More than just a fancy bit of space travel and fighting, Kay may also take on a variety of space tasks for each of the four primary factions in Star Wars Outlaws. These missions can range from simple search and destroy operations to salvage recovery and more. Actually, however, Star Wars Outlaws really starts to take off when Kay and Nix set foot on solid ground.

Star Wars Outlaws’ on-foot sections are a punchy blend of fierce third-person ranged and melee combat, tight-knit cover shooting, and a dash of stealth for those who wish to remain unseen and unheard for as long as possible. The action unfolds like a cross between Massive Entertainment’s Division titles and the Uncharted games. Through forging distinct bonds with the four criminal syndicates in Star Wars Outlaws, Kay and Nix are able to go on faction missions that not only advance the plot but also provide our sly heroes newfound powers.

Happily, you won’t have to spend the entire time on foot when you land on a planet because Kay’s speeder—which is also pleasantly upgradeable—carries enough firepower to take down other evil people who fancy their chances in addition to being a quick and efficient means of getting our cunning pair from point A to point B. Lastly, it’s important to monitor the extent of your criminal activity because, in a manner reminiscent of the Grand Theft Auto games’ police star system, the Galactic Empire will pursue you with progressively more potent forces if you cause too much damage or attract too much attention.
